About This Place

Located in the heart of Denver’s bustling Highlands neighborhood, Uncle is a standout ramen and Asian fusion restaurant that masterfully balances traditional flavors with innovative twists. At 2215 W 32nd Ave, this culinary gem beckons both ramen enthusiasts and adventurous food lovers alike to dive into an immersive dining experience defined by rich broths, crispy buns, and bold, satisfying bites.

The cuisine at Uncle centers around expertly crafted ramen and a diverse range of small plates that each tell their own flavorful story. Signature dishes such as the Spicy Chicken Ramen deliver a captivating sensory journey with its searing, fragrant chili-sesame broth, tender seared confit chicken, and that perfect soft-poached egg melding into layers of umami. Equally enticing, the Chashu Ramen features melt-in-your-mouth soy-braised pork belly floating in a savory chicken and pork shoyu broth, garnished with bright arugula and sesame seeds for a fresh, nuanced finish.

Uncle’s menu excels beyond ramen, inviting diners to indulge in their famous bao buns. The Soft Shell Crab Buns are a textural marvel—panko-crusted, golden-fried crab paired with creamy coconut mayo and a spicy cilantro nam prik, balanced by cooling cabbage slaw. The Chinese Eggplant Buns are another showstopper, where crispy fried eggplant meets the tangy kick of pickled plum mustard seed dressing and a smooth miso mayo—a vegetarian delight wrapped in soft steamed buns that excite every bite.

The atmosphere at Uncle is warm and inviting, blending a modern, clean aesthetic with a relaxed vibe perfect for any occasion, whether a casual dinner or a lively night out. The friendly, attentive staff add to the experience, often praised for their thoughtful service that seamlessly complements the exceptional cuisine.

Drinks at Uncle also hold their own, with modern whiskey selections and creative cocktails like the beloved "Island in the Sun," which offer refreshing counterpoints to the robust spice levels in many dishes. The menu’s breadth extends to unique offerings such as the Thai Chili Shrimp, Lamb Curry, and Khao Soi Ramen, reflecting a sophisticated palate that honors pan-Asian influences.

Customer voices further illuminate the magic here: William Weinberg calls it “outstanding all the way around," highlighting ramen, sushi, and buns as exceptional with “wonderful service.” Jenny Goycochea-Marker shares how the small plates, especially the spicy cucumbers and soft shell crab buns, “blew me away” and outshined even the ramen. Victoria Clark raves about the refreshing cocktails and a perfect "10 out of 10" rating for the yellow curry veggie ramen, proving that Uncle’s range satisfies diverse cravings. From the well-executed flavors noted during happy hour to the cozy, clean environment spoken of by Christine L, Uncle consistently delivers a stellar, memorable meal experience.

For anyone exploring Denver’s vibrant food scene, Uncle is not simply a ramen stop—it’s an exciting culinary destination where creativity meets comfort, every dish crafted with care and passion. Whether you’re craving fiery, hearty ramen or uniquely crafted buns bursting with flavor, Uncle leaves a lasting impression that invites you to come back for more.

Wow, outstanding all the way around. Ramen, sushi and buns were just exceptional. Wonderful service as well. If you’re in the area, don’t miss it!

Not a bad spot for some ramen! Friendly service, good drinks, and delicious spicy cucumbers. The spicy chicken was pretty good. I loved the broth and noodles. The chicken was a little tough but I think I expected that when it comes to chicken in ramen. Aside from that, everything was wonderful. Now for my standard comments. Location is well kept and clean. Decent indoor seating though can get a little crowded. Still very comfortable.

Oh my gosh, the Ramen here is so good!! And I had the island in the sun cocktail, which was also amazing and refreshing, I usually get the spicy chicken but this time I got the yellow curry veggie and it was a 10 out of 10!!! We also got the fried chicken appetizer, which was pretty good, but we needed a little bit more sauce and of course the server brought us two different kinds and was on top of everything. Highly recommend this place.!

Uncle is known for its ramen, but their Highlands location has so much more to offer—especially during their Summer Happy Hour (Monday through Saturday, 5–7 PM). I recently stopped by and was seriously impressed with the variety and quality of the small plates. Everything was flavorful and well-executed. Highlights included the Chinese Eggplant Bao (crispy and packed with flavor), the Chilled Tofu (so refreshing), and the Romanesco, which was a surprise favorite thanks to a great team recommendation. The hanger steak lettuce wraps and garlic shrimp were also delicious. Service was kind and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is laid-back but modern. If you haven’t been in a while—or have only gone for the ramen—this happy hour is the perfect excuse to return. 2215 W 32nd Ave, Denver, CO 80211

God this meal blew me away. Came in on a chilly night looking for some ramen and I cannot stress enough that everything was an absolute HIT. The standouts were the spicy cucumbers, soft shell crab buns, and the crudo! So perfectly executed. Funnily enough, while the ramen was delicious, it was out-shined by the smaller plates. Amazing experience all around!

Dined at Uncle during Thursday night. Parking would be difficult to find in the area so plan accordingly. We got seated in the bar area and our orders were taken quickly. We ordered duck ramen and bibimbap. Our duck ramen was very tasty with creamy broth and duck meat. However we were hoping the the bibimbap to be hot but it was served to us cold which we were not expecting. Overall definitely recommend Uncle for Ramen.

My husband and I shared: - Fried Chinese Eggplant Bun - Fried Chicken - Spicy Chicken Ramen - Veggie Khao Soi Ramen The Chinese Eggplant bun blew me away. I'm usually not an eggplant person, but it sounded interesting and our waitress sold me on it. If you get one thing, it should be this. I also loved the sauce and unique flavor combination on the friend chicken. Between the entrees, the Khao Soi was my favorite. This didn't surprise me because it's my favorite Thai dish and I tend to like it more than traditional ramen. That being said, the spicy chicken ramen was still very good. We went on a weekday and arrived right when they open. If you do this, it's not busy at all. 10/10, highly recommend this spot for great Asian food.
